A message from the Hot Springs Concert Band...First of all, the band expresses its deep appreciation for the tremendous attendance and generous support received from so many of you during our summer concert series. This was especially rewarding, given the band was able to play only three concerts and in a venue other than our traditional outdoor setting in Whittington Park. We are so thankful for Fountain Lake School's hospitality and cooperation in allowing the band to conduct both rehearsals and concerts on their campus. This was essential to making our summer concert series a reality and a success. Now, with cooler mornings becoming more frequent and with cooler days just around the corner, fall is in the air and the band is underway with preparation for its Autumn Concert on Sunday, October 3, at 3 p.m. in the Fountain Lake School Auditorium. Dr. Hamilton has selected a variety of special music which you will find inspiring, entertaining and quite enjoyable. Although the consequences of COVID-19 continue to affect the band, we nevertheless remain committed and excited to continue making music for you. And not to rush things, but before you know it, Christmas will be on the horizon, and with that comes our annual Christmas concert on Thursday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village. This special event is always a fun and reflective time as we play your traditional favorites of the season and even throw in a few special songs that perhaps you haven't heard for a while. We look forward to seeing you at one or hopefully both of these concerts. Updates and more information about the band can be found on the band website, hotspringsband.org. In addition, more details about the upcoming concerts this fall will be forthcoming in our publicity efforts through the newspapers, internet and radio, so please stay tuned! |
